Joseph E. Bettag, P.A.
Mr. Bettag is the Managing Member of the Company and is a licensed Florida Real
Estate Broker with Coastal Properties of Jupiter and a Florida Mortgage Broker
with Sundial Mortgage of Juno Beach. He has a proven track record in real estate
investments with over 23 years of experience in real estate brokerage, REO management
and sales, valuation, investments and residential/commercial real estate development.
In 2005, Mr. Bettag closed and sold over $33,000,000 in residential and commercial
real estate transactions.
For over five years, he was associated with Ocwen Federal Bank, FSB a financial
organization listed on the New York Stock Exchange and personally managed and
sold real estate REO portfolios valued up to $16,000,000 and personally averaged
over 200 transactions/closings per year. His accomplishments at Ocwen Federal
included 117% production relative to his 1998 goal and simultaneously addressed
and solved regional timeline disposition issues resulting in net savings of $1,400,000
per year for the largest U.S. purchaser of nonperforming mortgage loans in the
late 1990’s.
As an associate with Prudential Florida Realty in Jupiter from 1993 to 1997,
Mr. Bettag served on various community boards, foundations, committees, and a
task force in various capacities including the representation of the Board of
Realtors regarding significant community issues. This effort addressed issues
impacting the local real estate industry and created relationships with key decision-makers
in government and business. He was an approved commercial real estate specialist
with a concentration in residential land development for apartments and single
family homes.
Mr. Bettag was a Broker Associate for a number of Illinois real estate companies
in the 1980's and early 1990’s and created a corporate relocation department in
1984 and positioned the company from a zero market share to one the largest relocation
departments in the local market in just three years while associated with Ralph
G. Paslay Realtors and became one of the youngest Realtors in the Alton/Wood River
Board of Realtors’ history to become a lifetime member of the Illinois Board of
Realtors President’s Club – awarded for selling over $1,000,000 annually for five
consecutive years in a market that had an average sales price from $35,000 (‘
84) to $50,000 (‘ 88).
Mr. Bettag has received international recognition and received a Ready Newspaper
Advertising Award for the Best Classified Advertisement in North America in 1990
(Submitted by the Alton, Illinois Telegraph). Mr. Bettag attended Southern Illinois
University at Edwardsville with concentrations in business and history from 1977
to 1982. |
